From the Japan Fiesta Committee
The success of the past three Japan Fiestas has been made possible by the support of the Japanese Association of Canterbury, the Japanese Consulate in Christchurch, Christchurch City Council, stall holders, exhibitors, performers, volunteers and the thousands of visitors who attended the events. We could not have done it without your support.
We would like to express our gratitude to the many people who have supported us over the years and, in order to live up to their expectations, the entire staff will continue to work hard to make this an annual event in the future.
Over the past few decades, anime and manga have carved a yearning for Japan in the hearts of fans around the world, through the themes of their works and the Japanese society and culture depicted in the background, past and present, cities and nature.
The subtitle "Focused on ANIME & MANGA with All Japanese Culture" expresses this sentiment. With this content, we hope to show the people living in New Zealand the various attractions of Japan.
